Join us for our North West Diversity Forum in Manchester to discuss multiculturalism.

We Will Discuss:
- The importance of cultural competence (including how a lack of cultural understanding can impact internal and external business relationships)
- Key considerations to developing practical skills for effective inter-cultural communication and cultural competence within organisations
- Networking sessions will be interspersed through the session so that attendees can share their thoughts on the next steps
Speakers
Susan Abumere – Managing Consultant, the Clear Company
Susan is a Race Equality expert with experience in using solution-focused approaches to selection and assessment, leading on research projects with clients in the private and public sectors – most recently conducting a Race Equality audit for a global agricultural business. Susan is particularly passionate about promoting cultural intelligence in the workplace and helping organisations to attract talent across difference. She is currently undertaking doctoral research into how multinationals and global organisations can adapt their diversity and inclusion initiatives to fit different cultural contexts at Alliance Manchester Business School.
Dr Alice siberry – Neurodiversity Consultant, Creased Puddle
Dr. Alice currently works for Creased Puddle as a Neurodiversity Consultant within the Criminal Justice Team. She has received PhD in Criminology from the University of Sheffield in July 2021 and was awarded the N8 Policing Research Studentship at the University of Sheffield to complete her doctoral research investigating neurodiversity in policing and partnership working.
Dr. Alice got a First Class Honours (BA Hons) degree in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring from York St John University and hold an MSc Psychology (conversion) degree from Leeds Beckett University. She has been recognised for her skills in research, in particular being awarded the Women in Science and Engineering scholarship to study my MSc.
